If you have any other items need to be removed and disposed of, please contact the office for a disposal fee quote. Anyone found dumping either on empty sites or elsewhere, will be fined and in violation of their lease. There are several recycling centers in the area where you may dispose of bulk items, landscaping debris, and recyclables at no charge. The ones located at 4670 Jones Road and 9610 Scipio Lane in Myrtle Beach, are the closest to PirateLand. View more information about recycling centers by clicking here.

Horry County Solid Waste Authority no longer accepts yard waste in plastic bags. They compost yard waste, and paper bags will compost. Effective March 15, 2021 we can only pick up leaves in paper bags. As a courtesy to annual sites, we pick up bagged leaves once per month toward the end of the month.

Our guests enjoy a clean and comfortable atmosphere and they do their part to ensure it stays that way! Thank you for keeping the community beautiful!

Indoor Pool/Pirate’s Cove Update

We are excited for a major improvement coming to PirateLand – a NEW pool facility! The indoor pool was in need of an overhaul and unfortunately, the structure sustained damage during Hurricane Ian. We are moving forward on this project sooner than anticipated. The indoor pool and Pirate’s cove have been demolished to prepare the site for construction. Click here for more information! Please note, the splash park will stay open until about mid October. The outdoor pool and lazy river will stay open into November, weather permitting.

PrepareforaHurricane_large.png

Hurricane season typically runs from June 1 to November 30. Historically, the most active time is around mid September. We suggest annual site residents always prepare their site when they are going to be away for a period of time. Securing loose objects is an easy, proactive way to help mitigate damage to your unit and potentially your neighbors’. Depending on the storm forecast, residents may also consider boarding windows, moving items off the floor to prevent water damage, and removing any valuables from the campground. For insurance purposes, it’s a good idea to take pictures of your place and belongings before you evacuate.

We are located in evacuation Zone A. If an evacuation is called, all residents would be asked to leave, and for the safety of the crew and their families, we would have minimal staff here. To avoid potential sewer issues, the water to the entire campground will be shut off during an evacuation.
