Giving Projects

Giving back to the community is an important part of our mission. Throughout the year we host multiple giving projects to benefit charitable, community, and/or public service organizations. We invite guests and employees to participate. Below you can find information about projects we’re working on and how you can help!

Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts

Monetary Donations

Hurricane Helene has ravaged communities, and our peers and families in the affected areas are in dire need. We are working on ways to help. PirateLand and the PirateLand Ministry are making monetary donations to Samaritan's Purse and the Outdoor Hospitality Industry Association (OHI).

Campground owners and operators in effected areas are facing huge challenges and will have a long road to recovery. Many parks are operated by family and “mom and pop” businesses. Our hearts go out to our peers and cohorts in the industry. The Carolina Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds, CARVC, and the national association, OHI are teaming up and helping effected parks through OHI Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund.

If you feel led to help the people who work and operate SC/NC campgrounds impacted by Helene, please follow THIS LINK and click the “Donate Now” button. On that page under “Available Funds”, select “Disaster Relief Fund” and click “Donate.” On the next page, enter your contact information, and in the box called “Discount Code” enter: CARVC. This code signals that you want your donations to go to the campgrounds in the Carolinas. Any amount is appreciated! The more who give, even a small amount, will add up to big help for these campgrounds, their families, and employees. Thank you to OHI, CARVC, and all the campgrounds leading the way to bring help to our industry.

We are setting up an item donation drop off area in the Front Office Lobby. Our “Donation Station” will be located by the mail and packages area. Activities/Events

We usually collect books in January and February to be delivered the first week in March. If you would like to donate a book, please bring it by the front office.
